February 4th 2024 marks both the best day of our lives as well as the beginning of a period of immense sorrow for us, our family and our herd - our community of loved ones - as we navigated the stillbirth of our first child.

A meal train was the light in our period of darkness. While grief consumed all of our energy, our meal daily delivery gave us a little something to look forward to, provided us a much needed resource and required nothing from us in return. A simple concept that went a million miles; part of our herd stepping up to navigate their love to us when we didn’t even know how to communicate how we needed to receive their support.

We built herd. to help facilitate community - to build it, support it and celebrate it - because everyone needs their herds in life’s most pivotal moments, from new life to loss. herd provides those navigating the moment to have a platform to express what they truly need from their community and for their communities to have a platform to herd together & organize their support.
